Dita Von Teese, famous for her flamboyant performances and her chic retro style delivered her sexy famed routine at a lingerie show in Tokyo that involved giant cocktail glass in a variety of seductive outfits for the Japanese catalogue company Peach John.
Von Teese’s style is inspired by the pin-up style of silver screen sirens of the Forties & Fifties Rita Hayworth and Ava Gardner. The 34-year old Hollywood-based entertainer indeed lived up to her fame for vintage glam in the Japanese capital, where she arrived for the show in a flowing pink gown with black corsage.
In a rent interview, Dita said,
It’s not as if I have an alter ego on stage, but I’m kind of a quiet person. I’ve always liked the combination of the mystery, of being somewhat demure, rather than putting it out there all the time. I do that on stage, so I don’t need to do it in the real world- I don’t even wear mini skirts.
After her split from rocker hubby Marilyn Manson lat year, Dita is throwing herself into several projects that includes a full-length burlesque which will open at the end of 2008. She is also writing her second beauty book.
