I know you are no Britney or Paris Hilton, thus when I’ll tell you that raunchy is out of fashion and modesty is taking its place, you’ll think over it. So, this article I dedicate especially to the weirdo queen Britney, glam doll Paris and the likes of them for whom modesty is something they have left far behind. Wardrobe malfunctions are one and the only thing common with them and they are so used to it that they don’t do anything to prevent it.

I am little obsessive about lacy lingerie. I don’t know how, but laces spell a magic on me. Sure, I make my choices depending upon the colors but laces are something I can’t ignore especially in lingerie. Moreover, I do feel that lingerie’s-the lacy ones, are too seductive, thus making them an apt choice for honeymoons and those wild nights. Also, if you don’t have someone to seduce, you can always wear them and feel good about yourself, which is the most important thing to do.

The Dutch designer label can be seen all over the place-from news anchors to common women to celebrities; lately everyone has been spotted supporting Dekkers. The brand lately won Contours Intimate Award and they did deserve it. The brand showcased its designs at the Harrogate trade festival too.

However, I felt that we still haven’t talked about what we really need to know about lingerie, the facts we need to keep in mind while shopping for it, in a refined way, the do’s and don’ts of lingerie.

Some of you might be wondering that do we actually have rules for lingerie too. So, the answer is-yes, we do and they are significant. The reason is that with time, we grow up and our bodies do so too. Not only the wrinkles on our faces increase, even the body looses/gains weight and height. So, to look good and most importantly, feel good it is necessary that we keep a check on our body so as to secure right lingerie for us. The rules are simple but often we tend to forget them. Here is a list of them:-

• As I have already mentioned, we and our body size changes regularly. So, it would be better if you can get your size for the bra measured at least twice a year by a professional.

• Don’t wash your undergarments, especially bras in cold or hot water. Use lukewarm water and a gentle soap instead of detergent.

• Precaution doesn’t end here, take care that you don’t place your bra in dryers. Both the practices can cause your bras to loosen up which will make them ill-fitted for you.

• Go for underwear’s that have a cotton crotch, which is also advised by medical experts.

• If you have love handles, which most of us do have, go for brief that have a light stomach weight support. This will help you make look slimmer and in shape.

• When you purchase bras, try them out first. Each company has their own standard sizes which might differ.

• Try and avoid purchasing of undergarments, before and after one week of your menstrual cycle.

• As I said, try your undergarments before purchasing them. In case of panties, wash them before wearing them.

• Don’t use the same bra every day. It is not only against hygiene but also shortens your bras life.

• Today, there are a number of styles, colors and fits available. Let the fit of the bra be your first priority.

• Keep in mind, what goes with what. Don’t go for colorful panties under white pants or shirts. Of course, you don’t wanna end up with wanna-be image on the first day to your office.

• Don’t wear too tight panties, they not only cause trouble while walking but also can cause serious health isuues. Same is the case with bras. Remember, they are made for our comfort, not for causing a hell lot of trouble.

• Make sure, whatever you wear, panty lines are invisible. Go for spandex, if you don’t have any other options.

• This season it was uncool to show off your thongs or bra straps. But it is a fact that not only men but women also dislike the trend. Why be the odd one out?

• Throw off any lingerie pieces that are stained, damages or torn. You would never like your boyfriend to see those while making out.

• Last but not the least, please wear lingerie. It is a necessity and if you don’t believe me, I am sure you are no woman.
