Since panties came into existence, they have helped women in many ways. The foremost advantage of wearing this tiny piece is that it keeps one hygienic. It helps other clothes away from stains and most importantly in emergencies...when you’re monthly period timing is off. Above all, wearing one pair under a very short skirt helps to hide your crotch from the peeping eyes.

But to my utter amazement the “undercover survey” by The New York Post, has revealed that city’s most of the female population is doing without undies. The survey was done over 18, 19 and 20 year-old students who claimed remaining without underpants citing “breathe a little bit,” feel “more comfortable,” reasons.

It’s bit unpleasant as when we have a garment to make us feel confident besides giving comfort, protection, and sanitary benefits of a good, clean pair of skivvies then why people are running away from it? May be they have role models like Britney Spears and similar types who love to stay sans underwear and flaunt bare bottom.

Warning-You can die laughing while or after reading this post. What this article is all about? The answer is swimwear! How can swimwear be amusing? See the pictures! Ah! These look like dresses to me rather than swimwear. God, I couldn’t help laughing. This swimwear range is by ‘WholesomeWear’. I don’t have a least idea that with what context in mind have the designer swimsuits been created.

If by chance, they had a conservative outlook, so I have an idea that there are many designs which show less of cleavage. Also, you can always wear a wraparound or wear a cool pair of shorts instead of bikinis. If these are designed for obese women then I must say that they won’t be able to hide the extra flab rather it will make them look more bulky. As far as I am concerned, I think of this swimsuit design as a fashion faux pas. If you have a different take on these, do let me know. Maybe, you can change my mind.

Heidi Klum was in news a few days back for her picture in a men’s magazine without a bra and now, she is here promoting the latest bra by Victoria’s Secret. Ironical, right? Well, she has a partner for the bra’s promotion and that is Marisa Miller. I was more surprised to see Miller looking more like a younger Heidi. Leaving the celebrities aside and coming back to our focus that is the bra, it is known as the ‘Victoria’s Secret Body’.

What is special about this bra is that it has Infinity Edge technology, which makes it the ‘world’s first full coverage uplift’ meaning that it provides both coverage and lift. So, finally it seems women with small boobs have a solution. A whole range of this style is available in a large number of sizes and various colors, prints and patterns. Check them out!

Stella McCartney is launching her first ever lingerie line for Spring/Summer 2008. the designer will launch her lingerie collection in partnership with intimate apparel company Bendon, the company that has been producing the hugely successful Elle Mc Pherson ‘Intimates’ Line for the past 17 years.

The collection will reflect the designer’s women’s wear line, using a soft palette of dusty pink, cream, grey and blue. Organic cotton will also be an important attribute of the collection that is a continuation of McCartney’s efforts to make her label ethical.

Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, McCartney said,

This is a natural progression for me. Lingerie is an obsession of mine. I have been inspired by it for many, many years. Ever since my degree collection at Saint Martins, I have always used it in my work.

The prices of Mc Cartney’s collection will range from £35 to £220.

During summers, when the heat is at its max and we do anything to escape it, we (ladies) especially counter a lot many problems. The more we reveal the more problems we face about hiding our basics, the less we reveal the more heat hits on us. So, you see it is so difficult to choose, what to do and what not to do. For instance, if I wear an upper with a very low cut that digs towards the backbone, it would be difficult for me to find a proper bra that doesn’t expose itself from under the surface. Well, but it seems I have got something to share with you all and hope it would get us rid of our problems.

The products or rather the summer essentials are by Bubbles Bodywear. They have a bubble strapper bra adjuster, which you can use to adjust your bra straps as per your requirements to make sure that your bra straps doesn’t peep out. Moreover, you also get freedom from going braless. Also, they have this Bubbles Butt Booster Bands. The name itself describes a lot, but for those of you who still didn’t get it, let me explain. In summers, it is pretty difficult to put on the pantyhose. These butt booster bands have the same function as of pantyhose but they won’t kill you with the heat. Moreover, they also add a little oomph to your butts. Yeah! You got it right.

To tell you I hate g-strings and I don’t know how girls find them comfortable. For me wearing a g-string is a task and then going on with it is impossible. But then, I never want people to check out the panty lines that appear when I wear the regular ones. Lately, I had just one option that was g-strings, but now, we have the garment guard as another option. They also provide you with a seamless finish and thus, panty lines will no more be a problem. Al least for once, I am gonna check all these out, make sure you do too.

In holidays when you don’t feel like walking kilometers on the treadmill and instead sip that exotic wine, a one piece holds together all those hanging wobbly bits that look very ugly. Unlike a two piece bikini which highlights all the flaws of the body, the much forgiving one piece works as a complete shape enhancer, disguising flab and giving a sleek, hourglass silhouette. Check these tips to buy that perfect one piece swimsuit...

1. Women with heavy bust should opt conventional shoulder-strap or halter-neck style and keep away from detailing techniques like ruching.

2. Women with prominent cleavage should opt for lightly draped V-neck, instead of plunging necklines.

3. Check if the swimsuit has removable straps. They help in avoiding tan-lines when you sunbathe.

4. Don’t invest in swimsuits with weird cut out details. They give a stenciled look to your figure.

5. Women with heavy bottoms should play it safe with a sarong. A sarong not only conceals flab, but also creates an illusion of a longer torso.

6. Small prints look better that big, attention grabbing prints. One should avoid white and neons too.

A few days back, we told you that Jessica Simpson is going to unveil her swimwear collection at the Merecedez Benz fashion week. So, we are back, giving you a scoop from her sexy collection. Well, as I expected the collection is hot, sultry and sexy. Some of the pieces of the collection have that x-factor; some can be kept apart from that tag. But she has definitely got the designer genes in her.

The collection was targeted straight at the audience and no doubts, we were enthralled by it. I wanted to wear every single piece myself and go for a stroll on the beach. Prints ruled on the ramp and it looked like that the models were chosen under her scrutiny. Polka dots, Geometrical prints, floral prints, everything was there. The styles were varied and the cuts were sexy too. But I observed that most of the pieces had deep and high cuts. Well, that is her style too, after all she is a hottie herself and they know how to flaunt their assets. Yeah! And even one pieces were there. Moreover, the way she had accessorized each single piece is commendable. Hats, neck pieces, scarves, head scarves, bracelets, everything looked perfect. I am more of her fan as she didn’t go for matching which is surfing up as a trend these days. Check out her collection!

Collaboration be it designers or celebrities are not a new thing any more. Now, the collaborations are taking place in the world of lingerie too. Sass & Bide, the brand known for their denim range in the Australian continent, are going the lingerie way. However, they are collaborating with the well established Lovable lingerie brand, which is one of my favorites.

I still don’t have the least idea that what the collection may look like and from what will be the prices like, but I am sure that the range would be beautiful and comfortable. They are also launching an eyewear range this month and will be ready to retail their lingerie collection by mid-August. Waiting till august is the only option I have and so does you. For the latest updates or sneak-peak into the world of lingerie, watch this space.
